Acadiana Neighborhoods focuses on the Acadiana parishes and neighborhoods served by the site sponsors. Centrally located between  New Orleans and Houston, the broader region of Acadiana is made up of 22 Louisiana parishes with the Gulf of Mexico as its Southern border.
We start with an overview of the parishes of Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, and Vermiion.
Major cities such as Lafayette, Youngsville, Broussard, Maurice, New Iberia, Crowley, Ville Platte, Opelousas, Breaux Bridge, Abbeville, St. Martinville, Arnaudville, are detailed along with many others.
As newcomer's learn their way around and meet our friendly residents, it isn't long before they hear the term "Cajun," such as the "Ragin Cajuns" of the University of Louisiana "UL" at Lafayette.
What the definition doesn't offer is that Cajuns offer an unrivaled brand of Southern hospitality. The Cajun experience is such you may well become a "Cultural Cajun."
