Erath offers an exceptional tribute to the country during the cities extensive annual Fourth of July home page discusses celebration. The Acadian Heritage and Culture Foundation and Museum is located in Erath. Their Acadiana Museum page offers a history of Erath as well as the Acadian's successful fight to overcome repression, a fight that included the loss of thousands during "le Grand dérangement." The Le Café de Musée is located next to the museum and periodically hosts the "Living Legends" of the Erath area. They also host a Cajun Jam Session every other Saturday.
