The Church Point Buggy Festival is held in City Park the first full weekend every June. Events include an accordion contest, pageants, parades, carnival, crafts, live music and, of course, Cajun food.

The Courire de Mardi Gras is held the weekend before Mardi Gras. It is sponsored by the Saddle Tramp Club. 250 plus riders and wagons take part. The run begins at 8:30 a.m.

Mardi Gras in Central Acadiana is huge! Central Acadiana Gateway is an excellent site that beautifully organizes, describes, and provides photos of rural Mardi Gras. Kudos from THE 7 to the Louisiana State Univeristy of Eunice Office of Public Affairs for sponsoring this impressive website.
